Ayeeeeeeeee!! Ok so here is Assorra’s half-brother, Asare. He kinda came out of nowhere and his mere existence ruined everything for Assorra but yk, it’s hard to blame an innocent child for the machinations of their parents.
Anyway, in the original story, Assorra despised her younger brother, who was described as incredibly quiet and distant to everyone. However, he ended up meeting the FL Ayana and through his interactions with her, he opens up and becomes a bright, loveable little boy (I think he’s between the ages of 13-15, I’ll see and make the decision at a later date lmao). He also becomes instrumental in taking down his villainess sister so... yes. It’s real for Assorra.
So, Assorra now kinda looks at this little boy and just feels.. sorry for him? When she was reading “Flowers for Ayana” (the novel) they described Asare as a “tortured, traumatized boy who locked himself up but found joy and happiness in the FL”, but she got to see and hear the reality of it all. She decided to go out of her way to interact with Asare and talk and get to know him and she was... honestly so saddened by his reality, which was kinda painted differently in the novel.
Either way, I love it when siblings get along so eventually Asare and Assorra do get along and it’s fun and beautiful and heartwarming cos I like it just like that 👌🏾👌🏾
