VINTAGE CON SKETCHES: More BUBBLEGUM CRISIS pieces!
Added 2020-07-24 13:00:04 +0000 UTCBehold, another bunch of Bubblegum Crisis con sketches from various years, following up on last week's post. I have a worrying feeling, though, that I might've already posted one of these pieces months and months ago; if so, my apologies in advance, folks.
This one's based on photoreference of my friend Elin Winkler that I shot back in 1996-7 for Gen13: Grunge! The Movie but, alas, I can't find the original photo. Note that she's not wearing "THAT leather jacket," but a more conventional, heavier motorcycle jacket.
Alas, I didn't have time to jack up the contrast levels on this one in Photoshop. This is, however, what a vintage con sketch would really look like if you were to see it "in person."
Same deal with this rather light-looking one from 2003. Also, the "cloth" pattern of the linen-finish cardstock looks a bit odd; no idea why.
This one's from a photocopy, hence the more intense value range. Interestingly, I can't recall the name of the Bubblegum Crisis OAV episode this character's from; I could look it up, but that would be cheating.
