Behold, an incomplete version (scanned from a recently unearthed photocopy) of a 1994 page I did for, I think, Kenichi Sonoda's Chosen Ame doujinshi. Rare toplessness ahoy, folks! A friend of mine was a regular contributor to the doujin, so I submitted a few pieces over the years.
The "incomplete" bit is due to the fact that those asterisks tagged after the SAS dudes' dialogue presumably referred to notes clarifying that nope, that's not a SAS uniform at all, and nope, SAS troops certainly don't have to dress like that—well, at least not as a uniform. No idea where those missing notes might've gone, alas.
The screen tones were applied by me and definitely not by my more talented friend Tomoko (as seen in a recent Dirty Pair post), as the discerning eye can tell from the decent, competent, but otherwise unimaginative tone choices. (Note that I included two Photoshop-scanned versions above, one from a grayscale scan and the other from a bitmap scan.)
Inks were probably still done with an American Hunt EF104 quill pen-tip, though I might've already switched over to the superior Japanese Zebra-brand "maru" quills by this point. The hatching on Cammy looks a tad coarse to be "maru-work," though.
SUDDEN UPDATE: Folks, my main PC's hard drive just crapped out last night, which could throw a monkey wrench into future posting. (I'm typing this from a backup laptop.) Good thing my last full hard-drive backup was almost two months ago! Ouch.
By eerie coincidence, though, I happened to have four Patreon posts already lined up (including this one), so I might be able to have matters back in order by the time next Wednesday rolls around. We'll see, I guess.
TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: Feast your eyes on some rare full-color versions of my Vintage Con Sketches, courtesy of my bud Ryan Kinnaird's Photoshoppery!
