Behold, a rare few design sketches for the first two issues of my 1992 miniseries Dirty Pair: SimHell (which was how the title was supposed to read, a la SimCity, but I never clarified that matter). I know that more of these are a-lurking somewhere in my thousands of files, but I've yet to find any more; if I do, I'll surely post 'em here down the road.
Most of the hardware didn't actually get used in the published miniseries, with the notable exception of the Lovely Angel spaceship redesign:

Forward-swept wings, as a tribute to the Grumman X-29! A "hammerhead" bow, as I've always loved those; can't decide whether that's an exaggerated Blockade Runner riff, or possibly a reference to a Rick Sternbach design from some "spaceships of Star Trek" book I read in the 80s.
Kinda dinky in size, though. If I'd ever done another published DP series, I would've redesigned the Lovely Angel as a much larger ship.
TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: This week's Damsel-in-Distress-related post for the $5+ Patron tiers features some 1998-era Vintage Con Sketches of far-future mage Jamadagni in (anachronistic) witchy peril. BURN THE (SEXY) WITCH!
