Behold, s'more hardware-oriented design sketches from issue #2 of my 1995 miniseries Dirty Pair: Fatal But Not Serious. (Previous series post here.)
A few words:

The character above is not, in fact, unnamed, as I later decided her name was Ng Mui, after the notably more heroic Shaolin nun. Note that her rather disturbing "big arm" design is fairly blatantly influenced by the work of the late Yasushi Nirasawa, whose book Creature Core has lurked within arm's reach of my drawing table for the last two or three decades.
Patrons from the $5 tiers might also recognize Ng Mui from a DP "damsels in distress" commissioned sketch I posted here a few (or many) Wednesdays ago:

Not quite canonical, as the Angels' high heels would indicate, but not as far removed from continuity as most of the highly noncanonical DP DiD commissions, which often portray them as Empowered-level hapless damsels.
In theory, damsel-y scenarios like the one above might fanfic-like interactive simulations, as mentioned in the Fatal But Not Serious panels below:

Anyhoo, back to the design work!

Note that the fella at right above is descended from the mecha nicknamed "Tech" that I designed for my first Dirty Pair miniseries, Biohazards; this version, however, merges another Nirasawa "big arm" riff with a clear tribute to the asymmetrical "Motie" aliens from Niven & Pournelle's SF novel The Mote in God's Eye.
Next up is the fateful gamma ray laser gun pod carried by the Lovely Angel in this miniseries:

For clarity, here's the SimHell design with the previous iteration of gunpod, as mentioned above:

Next time, we'll see some more character-oriented designs from the miniseries, okay?
TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: As usual on a Wednesday, time for yet more "damsel-in-distress" content of some sort for the $5+ tiers!
