Anyhoo, a few quick words, hastily and belatedly added:
A 2018 piece from Heroes Con in Charlotte; important, because I've used high-contrast visual riffs along these lines ever since.
A 2018 sketch from San Diego Comic-Con, the last time I attended. (Hopefully not the very last time I attended...)
A true Vintage piece from 15 years ago, featuring the dreaded Mysteriously Intermittent Post-Millennial Torso Glitch in full effect with Emp's highly stylized and wasp-waisted abdomen. (18-wheeler based on a fancy toy I was using as reference for a scene in, IIRC, Marvel's Livewires issue #4.)
A sketch from very early on in the Empowered experience, given that the first Emp pieces date back to the July 4th weekend of 2004, when I was idled whilst waiting for editorial approval on a cover rough for Livewires #3.
