DISTRESSED DAMSELS: Vintage (Shasti) con sketch edition!

Taking a break from commission-story serialization to post a bunch of vintage con sketches from the turn of the millennium, all of 'em featuring Kei and/or Yuri distressed by superagent Shasti from the miniseries Dirty Pair: Dangerous Acquantances (and a cameo in Run from the Future, too). None of these commissions are even remotely canonical to my iteration of the Lovely Angels, but at least Shasti is credibly capable of victimizing Kei and Yuri unlike, say Battle Chasers' Red Monika.

A few words:

Lord alone knows what possessed me to draw TIE fighters and accurate blasters in a con sketch, but the results are amusing.

This was probably drawn around 2000, judging by the very early approach to "minimal nasal indication" on Kei.

Tough time for poor Ponytail Kei from the "low-riding shorts and garter belts" era of DP con sketches. BTW, expect to see this composition again quite shortly, as I shamelessly reused it for a different pair of characters in a sketch for another patron.

Vaguely indicated nipples on a 1999 con sketch—a rarity indeed!

This one was left unfinished when, I presume, full-time comic deadlines intruded, but I can tell you that this illo was supposed to depict Shasti stuffed our distressed pair into an aircar's trunk.

That it for this week's dose of vintage DiD con sketches, folks! Next week, I'll either post a bunch of more recent sketches, or start up serialization of another commissioned story.

Tomorrow on this here Patreon: Time for another excerpt from the unpublished story (in proto-Empowered format) Dirty Pair: Quick & Dirty!

The tied up in bed one is really nice, love the idea!

My My... Yuri's nightwear in that pic is stunningly daring for our favorite repressed Angel.

Little known fact: though these commissions are not canonical to the Adam Warren version of the Lovely Angels, they are in fact 100% canon to the pachinko machine versions (though not the PS1 adaptation of said machine), the gamebook, the anti-arson campaign poster, and one of the radio dramas.

My bad, Shasti.

Charmingly Retro? Looks like Shorty might want to have a chat with Red Death from Venture Bros. Makes a great case for the "tied to train track" scenario.

Ahemn, I'm going to have to think about that penultimate one from '99 for a while, *cough* All very good sir, as usual!
