March art requests for the $5 Patron tier!

Previously, I told the fine folks of the $10 & $20 tiers that March was gonna be a rough month for me, worktime-wise, due to Emerald City Comic-Con gouging a week (or more, counting con-prep time) outta my schedule. Wellp, after ECCC's postponement, this is still gonna be a rough month for me, as I ate the full cost of my tragically nonrefundable plane tickets. Ouch!  

Wellp, might as well get crackin' on art requests from you $5-tier Hundredfold! (Hundred-and-ninefold, technically, but who's counting?)

As before, the focus for these pieces and sketch sets will be on Clip Studio Paint digital-art tests, but with the two-pronged approach I started back in February:

1) First, while I'm quite comfortable sketching and drawing roughs in CSP, I am nowhere near having a viable art technique for finished, printable comic pages and illos. None of the app's default brushes for pencils or inks can deliver the linework quality I'm looking for, so clearly I need to experiment with new brushes, whether from CSP's add-on capabilities or via third-party "brush providers" like Frenden. So, you'll likely see me messing around with wildly varying new brushes in art-request sketch dumps this month.

2) While I'm still on the hunt for "final art" brushes, in the meantime I also need to start experimenting with CSP's tools for comic-page production. So, you'll probably see sketch dumps formatted as faux comic pages, or speed lines gracing random illos, or screen-tone tests on headshots, or Lord knows what else. Gotta familiarize myself with the full CSP toolset, y'see, as I approach the point of "going whole hog with the digital," a process which I'll address in more detail later. 

Furthermore, this month I finally shelled out for a full-on hardware set-up to truly "go digital"—as in a hot new PC with serious RAM, a big-ass Cintiq, and the complete revamping of my studio space. Great timing, needless to say! I won't be messing around with that gear in earnest for quite a while, as the PC build is likely stranded in California for weeks or months hence, but I'll be doing even more CSP iPaddery in the meantime to get ready for the hardware's arrival.

So fire away with any character suggestions or situation requests you might have, oh $5 friends! Could my own characters, or other characters, or more iterations of material I've already drawn here. Damsel-in-distress-oriented requests are certainly a possibility, as we saw a welcome spike in new $5-tier Patrons this month who might well have joined up for such content.

Come to think of it, these requests could branch out beyond simple character choices to, I dunno, something broader for me to mess around with using CSP.  Scenes or settings from earlier projects? Animals? (I'm in the middle of an animal-heavy episode of EMP12 at the moment.) Trees? Environments? Cars (God forbid)? Life drawing subjects? Robots?
