Behold, for the second Friday in a row, some vintage Dirty Pair con sketches from the year 2000 or so. I drew dozens upon dozens—if not possibly hundreds—of Kei and Yuri commissions during this era, so you can expect to see many more such "vintage sketch dumps" down the road.
A few words:

Yeahp, folks, I was once doing so many of these sketches that I grew bored with Kei and Yuri's existing character and costume designs, and elected to screw around with some seriously "out-there" variations; this dual set of "Extra-Pouty Kei and Yuri" pieces evolved from just such an impulse.

There was never much chance of these wacky iterations ever appearing in a published Dirty Pair comic, but at least the variations kept me amused.
Below is a side-by-side of the Extra-Pouty sketches (which I posted out of order in the gallery above):

Onward!

Golly, that's rather naughty of our Yuri, gotta say.
The sketch above merged the Extra-Pouty chara designs with the existing smartsuits from the Start the Violence/ Run from the Future era of the comic. BTW, I should note that those costume designs—and the "Dandelion Kei" hairstyle, for that matter—also arose from me being bored with con sketches in the late 90s.

Speaking of "Dandelion Kei," there she is in the booty-centric sketch above. For the record, this illo is absolutely non-canonical to "my" Dirty Pair, as their ultra-tech smartsuits do not ride up as Yuri is experiencing here.
In a perhaps surprising plot twist, the sketch above is in fact photoreferenced from models, but not live models. (Wait, that sounds creepy and disturbing, doesn't it?)

Yeahp, I referenced Kei and Yuri's poses from photos of Japanese model kits—or perhaps they were scratchbuilt?—on a promo banner for a book of such photography. ("BEST OF 160 FIGURES," I gather from the kana.) I'm reasonably sure that at least some of those models above were in turn based on photoref, so my sketch was in theory photoreffed from photoreffed models.
If I have time (unlikely, I admit), I may try to work in a weekend post, as this week marked the one-year mark of my Patreon's initial launch. Every-weekday posts for an entire g-d year, folks! (If not more, as early on I was posting multiple times per day, which was amazingly dumb of me.) Not the most time- and cost-effective way to run a Patreon, to put it mildly, but what the heck. Wheeeeee!
Monday on this here Patreon: More life drawings, as usual!
