VINTAGE CON SKETCHES: Miscellaneous EMPOWERED pieces

Today, a bunch of random Empowered commissions, some of which I may have already posted. A few words:

This commission is truly mysterious, as it predates Empowered vol.1's publication by three years. Not only that, but I began the very first proto-Emp stories over the weekend of July 4th, 2004, so these were drawn very early on in the nascent project's development.

Enjoy wasp-waisted early Emp from the long-ago era of the stylistic riff that I've dubbed "the Mysteriously Intermittent Post-Millennial Torso Glitch," folks! (Also, enjoy another cameo appearance by the big ol' tractor-trailer toy that I bought as reference for issue #4 of Livewires.)

Next up is a piece that was drawn, I think, as part of a Twitter poll and/or deviantART post asking for readers' favorite Empowered characters:

Finally, a 2009 con sketch of F**king Oyuki-chan. included as I begin scouring my various Empowered-volume folders for commissions:

We've never seen Oyuki-chan using a katana, let alone one of those enormous "horse-killer" no-dachi blades, but who knows? Maybe she'll break one out someday in the series.
