DESIGN TUESDAY: Initial chara-design sketches for a mid-2000s project, pt.2

Following up on last week's Design Tuesdays post, jkjkjkhere are the rest of my initial design sketches for the cast of the 2004 mecha-team Marvel miniseries Livewires, written by me and featuring interior artwork by the great Rick Mays  (and eventually me as well, during the last three issues of the series as deadline issues and technical complexities arose).

"Elegant" Gothic Lolita was the term for the specific Japanese fashion style I was referencing for the character; in the end, I left off the Elegant bit.

Never did show Hollowpoint Ninja using much "gun fu" a la the movie Equilibrium (though I think the martial art was referred to as "gun kata" in the flick); oh, well.

Don't think I ever played up the "hair as antennae" bit much in the series proper, though I only had so much pagecount available for such "techno-riffing."

And finally, kudos to 2004 Me for drawing up a proper height comparison chart for the cast! Would that I had ever bothered to do so for Empowered, which has been perpetually plagued by character height ambiguities due to my (continuing) neglect of such a chart.

TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: More commissioned Distressed Damsels content for the $5+ tiers, though I'm not currently sure as to exactly what that content will be. Let's find out together, shall we?
