Got no time to prep this g-d post, let alone tag on a lengthy commentary, so lemme try to keep this short & sweet: Here's the first half of a 2003-era commissioned Dirty Pair comic featuring Kei-- nay, Rose-- facing off against "the Warlord of the Ecliptic," a fictional character from 22nd-century pop culture played by her early-adolescence crush, the actor Jude Lomani (as seen in 1999-2000's miniseries DP: Run from the Future).
UPDATE: Yeahp, said fictional character is whimsically named after Bolaji Badejo, the art student and actor who famously (and firstly) wore the "xenomorph" suit in the first Alien movie.
If possible, I'll attempt to clarify what's goin' on here when I post the rest of this unfinished story next month, okay? Right now, I gotta log the hell outta Patreon and belatedly get crackin' on the day's Empowered vol.12 page, which I'll be starting at the unconscionably late hour of 9am (ouch).

Wait just a darned minute, if you're specifically calling out the Warlord of the Ecliptic as a fictional character, does that mean that Kei/Yuri/Rose/Lily are real? That would explain the major-league disasters we've all been dealing with lately, and also why you're currently holed up armed to the teeth in an undisclosed location.

2021-07-29 00:28:14 +0000 UTCHmm, there's an opportunity for yet another layer of irony here if Kei and Yuri then start disguising themselves as Rose and Lily for cover purposes/to duck the angry crowds that tend to follow them/so Kei can horn in on that Jude Lomani action. Yeah, the Yaz uni's look good; I have a original Yaz sketch of the Angels I picked up on Ebay a while back hanging on the wall next to me.

2021-07-28 17:18:48 +0000 UTCI'd give it 50/50 if this is either a wet dream/fanfic fantasy written by Kei in her younger years, or an actual in-universe movie starring Rose or some other thinly-veiled/minimally-legally-distinct copy of the Lovely Angels as a box office draw, since they're well known in-universe. Extra irony if that leads to 'Rose and Lily' eventually being more famous and admired than their 'originals', since all they do is look hot in action movies, as opposed to the Angels er... actual associated disasters. Art looks top-notch, too. Rose is definitely filling her uniform just right. Got to love those low-rise super-tight shorts!
