Work stages on EMPOWERED vol.7's cover illo (my favorite of the series, BTW)!
Added 2020-11-05 14:00:33 +0000 UTCGiven that I haven't done an "Empowered cover illo work stages" post in quite a while, I'm not quite sure whether or not I've already covered (ha ha!) vol.7's fine illustration. Wellp, here it is anyway!
Line art by me, with truly excellent colors by Joe Weltjens of Guru eFX. Despite some flaws on my illustrative end, the completed cover illo for vol.7 remains probably my favorite one from the entire series, in large part due to the beautiful color work.
I've long considered adding vol.7's cover to the sparse set of a mere four 12" X 18" prints offered for sale through the Empowered Hiveworks merch site. Right now, all we've got available there for prints are the three existing Empowered Deluxe covers and a lone high-contrast poster of Emp and Ninjette.
Note that the next-to-last color image above is a "flagged corrections" pic, done to indicate changes I wanted Guru eFX to make on the in-progress illo.
