VINTAGE(-ish) CON SKETCHES: When the letter M attacks!

Wellp, back to plowing through the remaining pieces in my old CON SKETCHES folder. With these pieces, we're hitting up the illos listed under the letter M.

A few words:

Might've posted this Blade of the Immortal piece before; my insincere apologies, if so.

A cellphone pic (from Toronto FanExpo) of a pretty good sketch of Mecha Maid from the webcomic Spinnerette. Ehh, some at-con pieces work out well, and some don't.

The high-quality photoreffed snakes, here, almost make up for my 2006 missteps on the actual Medusa head and upper torso. (Almost.) Can't win 'em all, folks.

A top-quality piece drawn at home, based on the two Mormon mermaid twins from the now-discontinued webcomic Mermaid Comics.

NEXT MONDAY ON THIS HERE PATREON: Yet another double dose of life drawings (and high-res Photoshop scans) from 2017 & 2018, as usual!

Mormon mermaids just made me boggle. Especially with the belly shirts. The Asian Medusa came off a lot better than you think. I knew Mecha Maid on sight, and that was a surprise that made me grin. The Blade of the Immortal pair is another one of those where it is at the same time a good copy of the original artist _and_ distinctly a Warren look too.

The Medusa sketch is awesome! I really do love you combine more realistic and cartoon styles into your own unique take.

That answers a question I've long had: does Adam Warren know about Spinnerette? Yes, he does. :)

Re: Medusa... head and torso are fine. Why quibble, those snakes are amazing. A great mix of the cartoony style and lifedrawing (of snakes, at least). Are you sure that was a con sketch ??
