(You can check out the previous installment of this story here.)
Wellp, I'm down to the last few commissioned DiD stories in proto-EMPOWERED format, folks! This one's from 2003 or thereabouts, based on a simple request from a very generous friend in a time of great financial need for Yrs Truly: Dirty Pair's Kei pitted against a fairly generic Jungle Girl in a cheesecake-intensive struggle session!
Beyond the pure cheesecake aspect, though, this part of the story did play up an in-continuity aspect of my version of the DP—namely, that bold 'n' brash Kei has a streak of vulnerability that the seemingly "softer" and more demure (but actually steelier) Y**i wholly lacks.
A few words about this week's last page, which might require some explanation:

As established in my final (published) Dirty Pair miniseries, 1999-2000's Run from the Future, "vidstud" actor Jude Lomani was Kei's schoolgirl crush. Here, he's popped into this goofy-ass scenario outta nowhere in another presumably fictional role, but as of panel three immediately starts breaking the forth wall to address her as an actor.
Next week, our story doesn't so much end as just wheeze to a halt (as I hit the commissioner's max number of pages) while we see what a hotblooded young woman like Kei does when she inexplicably winds up on the lap of her girlhood lust object.
TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: More of my 1987 Dirty Pair pitch portfolio pieces, focusing on a bunch of illustrations this time.
FRIDAY ON THIS HERE PATREON: A very special Xmas illo fresh off the drawing table, based on an amusing suggestion by one of the $20-tier Patrons. (Hint: Krampus ahoy!)
