Behold—if my worthless, garbage-tier DSL will ever stay connected long enough to allow me to post this morning—an unusually strong 2005 con sketch that I wound up repurposing as the illo cover for the concluding issue #6 of the Livewires Marvel miniseries.

I had stalled out on working up one final cover for this clearly ill-fated project either from burnout or demoralization, as by this point we'd seen just how brutally low the miniseries' sales figures were turning out.
So, out of sheer desperation, I asked my buddy Ryan Kinnaird, who'd colored all the other miniseries' covers for me, to convert this con sketch of Livewires' POV character Stem Cell into a viable illo. And lo, he succeeded, by painting over my linen-finish B&W sketch in Photoshop:

And here's the final, printed cover, which I've just noticed features a few more "gaseous FX" streaming off Stem Cell than the previous jpeg:

The Livewires miniseries is long outta print, but is still available in superior digital form (as the small-format TPB of the series was tragically burdened with very poor repro quality) over on Comixology.
NEXT MONDAY ON THIS HERE PATREON: Yet another double dose of life drawings (and high-res Photoshop scans) from 2017 & 2018, as usual!
