Windfall: The beginning

I hate trying to choose names for things so I’m going to call this AU Windfall. The Windfall AU.

This post will also serve as the official beginning to their story, where I can tell you guys about them! So, let’s begin with Erasyl.

Erasyl is the only son of the Seong family, which is one of three Duchies in the kingdom. (Fun fact, Irving’s the first son of one of the other two duchies lol. Yes he features in this story ofc) in the kingdom, young noble men have their coming of age when they turn 21. There’s a celebration, and finally he takes on the responsibilities of an adult. The story begins a month or two before this.

While Erasyl is a responsible lad, he… he liked to party. He liked to have fun, have a good time and be a young guy enjoying life. So he had a trip arranged around the Kingdom. One last chance to be free and just kick back. So he’s traveling around, visiting people and family (and also taking this chance to gather support cos the first thing that he’s going to take on is his own noble title. He will govern some land that’s under the Seong family and have his own title. In his case he will take on governing a Viscounty.) and just… think of it as the gap year before college 🤣

So it was during this “spring break” that he met Asta. They met in passing a few times before, the first time being when Erasyl snuck out to town to see what’s going on and they had a fun folk dance at the square. Second time when Asta was at work (at the Baron’s manor. That’s where they worked and that’s where Erasyl was staying for a little while) and third time when Erasyl saved Asta from the baron’s weird son.

And so, Era asked Asta to come on the trip with him as one of the towns he was to stop at was where Asta wanted to move to to start their life anew.
