Why’s he hostile you may ask? Well, that’s a great question! This would b the beginning of a new arc in the story actually. After Erasyl returns with Asta. He’d been filling in for Erasyl, which left him busy all the time, every day, no exceptions. And which left Khalar uncharacteristically… bored. Bored and bothered. He doesn’t get it. The amount of work humans have to do all the time. Elves are mostly laissez-faire so watching humans is like watching ants furiously march on.
Anyway, some way or the other Khalar got Goldie angry, and the only way to make Goldie angry is to ask him to provide things he cannot. And Khalar doesn’t possess the immunity that others possess, no. See, because he is the closest in proximity to what Goldie’s true personality is, then when Goldie gets mad he has no desire or ability to mask the anger. Khal was bound to make Goldie mad one day but gosh, his anger is genuinely very terrible 😭
