DESIGN TUESDAY: Icky biopunk sketches from 2016!

Behold, from a 2016 8-page backup story that I wrote and drew for a Deadpool Annual, here my design sketches for a bunch of AIM biotech beasties that were derived from ol' Wade Wilson's perpetually regenerating flesh. (Final colors on the sample page by my buddy Ryan Kinnaird.)

Note that this Deadpool story costarred Gothic Lolita from my 2005 miniseries Livewires. Yay! This 8-pager was not well received at all, probably because I went much more aggressive on the SF angle than usual and did notably less narrative "hand-holding" of the reader than I normally prefer due to the very limited pagecount; nonetheless, the experience was worth it to briefly work with a Livewires character again. (Plus, I actually enjoyed writing Deadpool, for whatever that's worth.)

TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: As usual on a Wednesday, more "damsel in distress" content for the $5+ Patron tiers, though at present I have no idea as to exactly what  content that might be. Let's find out together tomorrow, okay?

Comments

Yeah, wasn't sure if many folks noticed that, but that was indeed my oblique manner of hinting that other Livewires were still around.

Still love "TINY ADORABLE HAT STATUS: STOLEN* though the real treat was confirmation that the rest of Livewire were indeed live again!

Luke McKinney

Deadpool meeting the Livewires is a combo I never knew I needed to see so badly.

Strypgia

FWIW, I loved that short. You were the reason I grabbed that issue.

Always happy to see more of the Livewires cast. GothLoli was probably my favourite.

Stu Driver

Didn't know you'd done this, bloody brilliant!
