DISTRESSED DAMSELS: Generic "Rose" sketches with bonus... werewolves?
Added 2021-03-31 13:42:58 +0000 UTCFrom sometime in the early 2000s, here are two kinda-sorta comic pages based on a a fairly generic and open-ended commission request for Dirty Pair's Kei getting distressed yet again. Or is this "Rose" from the alt-continuity "Rose & Lily" commissionverse of incongruously easy-to-capture versions of the DP? Ehh, maybe.
Anyhoo, as I was cranking through a bunch of similarly open-ended sketches one summer, I soon grew bored with doing DiD pinup illos of "Rose & Lily" and instead started doing montage sets that featured multiple pose variations as opposed to a single image, which I found marginally less tiresome.
Then, as of the third image below, I apparently decided that "Rose" was being captured by... werewolves? Maybe?
...which led to a second sketch set formatted more like an actual comics page:
Honestly, this literally sketchy pseudo-comic very likely wound up taking longer than a single-image illo with more finished detail, but I often find even half-assed comic pages like these more interesting than pin-up pieces. (Which is how we wound up with Empowered, but that's another story.)
TOMORROW ON THIS HERE PATREON: Some sort of "work stages" piece, I'd assume.

Well, Run From The Future had that terrorist who'd had their mind put into an orcaform construct, so I'd guess these jabronies are furries who shelled out megacoin to some biolab finally live the dream. They're probably hoping to use whatever price they can get for Our Heroines to pay off the bill. (You really don't want to know what back alley biolabs do to deadbeat customers.) That does assume they aren't full on transforming/infecting people they bite in the more traditional werewolfy sense. If that's what's up, only way I can think to pull that off involves some really high end nanites reconstructing the body on the fly. Gee, I wonder who has access to stupidly dangerous illegal nanotechnology and wants to screw with the Lovely Angels? Didn't know Sleet was a furry.

I do like the multi-pose thing, it does keep it more interesting. I can very well see "Rose & Lily" being a Legally Distinct Enough duo in-universe with Kei & Yuri, like VTubers or something marketed to people who _want_ to see the Angels in porn, but can't get the real thing. This would ofc annoy the shit out of the Angels, but 3WA lawyers only say 'we're working on it'...
