DISTRESSED DAMSELS: Time-traveling Emp & Thugboy bedroom cosplay(?)!

A word of explanation: One of the recent art requests solicited from the Biggest Spenders of the $20 tier wanted a look at an incident indirectly referred to in part of a 4-page story fragment from the old (circa 2012, IIRC), long outta print sketchbook Empowered: Extra Sketchiness:

So, the kind Patron suggested artwork detailing the reference to "Chastising Slaps to Her Callipygian Derriere" from this imagined incident. I chose to reimagine said (Highly) Counter-Factual Scenario as yet another elaborate Bedroom Cosplay dealie with Thugboy dressed up in pseudo-Edwardian garb as the doughty Duct-Tape Inventor prevailing over a time-traveling Emp.

And cue my first full-scale attempt at a Clip Studio Paint page rendered via my long-unused Wacom Cintiq! The piece below is definitely a Work (Still) in Progress, so please pardon the unfinished "panel" at lower right:

Tried out a bunch of different tools and brushes, including a selection of Frenden brushes from a ginormous (800+) set I bought several years ago. Honestly, I'm constantly startled by how differently the Cintiq handles than my iPad; in any event, I'll keep experimenting as I crank out s'more $20-tier art requests and try to work up design sketches for the theoretical new project merging Hushed Half-Elf and Party of Two.

Last week, however, whilst grinding desperately through a cover illo that wound up being a maddeningly Sisyphean ordeal, I distracted myself with an few (analog-media) sketched pages depicting the lead-in to that Clip Studio Paint page. So, here's a further scene of Bedroom Cosplay foreplay, with Duct Tape Inventor Thugboy taping up SuperDamsel from the Future Emp:

I like the idea that Thugboy has become quite adept at catering to Emp's often goofy DiD bedroom fantasy scenarios, and can now rattle off improvised but appropriate dialogue at the drop of a(n Edwardian top) hat.

This wacky scenario actually continues beyond this point, but I dunno if I'll get around to addressing that any time soon. Anyhoo, that's all for now, folks; back to corrections and scanning on that nightmarish cover illo mentioned earlier!
