Life drawings from photoreference: high-res scans #138
Added 2022-02-16 14:00:08 +0000 UTCOnce again, I'm doubling up with these latest (well, latest to post) sets of life drawings from random photoref. First above is a shading-focused set from October 2017 drawn on toned paper (including an image based on Jia Jem's fine Kei cospay), along with a sketchier, more movement-oriented set from May 2017.
Note that we've (rather a while ago) crossed an important threshold with these posts—both sketch sets are dated from 2017, meaning that the end of my once-formidable buffer of life drawings is in sight, if still rather a long ways off, as I cranked out life drawings almost daily through that year. So, folks, I might need to switch to single-set posts at some point later on in 2022. Gasp!

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: For the $5+ Patron tiers, Friday will see the next installment of a proto-Empowered-format SF comic from the early 2000s that I've informally dubbed Rose & Lily vs. Troops. (I'd originally planned to post that dealie today, but work on a key Empowered vol.12 page took up the morning shift.)

2022-02-16 15:25:09 +0000 UTCThe Running silhouettes looks a little wonky, but the running figure head-ons and such look photo-good. Like the classic Lovely Angels cosplay shot. And boy, while you may not think the white pencil interacts well, that first figure looks good, and they really got some cake.
