In an attempt to mix things up with the new(-ish) era of digital-art Life Drawing posts, here's a brand new sketch set drawn in Clip Studio Paint (iOS version) from random photoreference, as opposed to the 2019 artwork seen in our previous installment. Yay?

Experienced a spot of difficulty whilst working on this piece, as my (mostly) beloved Design Pencil brush seemed to not work as well as I would've hoped. The mystery was solved once I tried to export the set as a jpeg, and discovered that the file was anomalously huge; turns out that, when I first set up this set a few weeks ago, I started it as a 600dpi file instead of the 400dpi resolution I normally use for iOS Life Drawing. Golly! So, yeahp, I needed to scale up my brush size accordingly, as opposed to muddling along with a too-small brush as I did here.
Interestingly, the main face in the set doesn't look too bad, but does not properly convey the reference image all that closely, as the original photo of the model features an almost feline sense of beauty that my sketch completely lacks.

Note that I'm not particularly interested in drawing resemblances as such, but am very much interested in conveying attractiveness, given my body of work; might have to revisit this image sometime and see if I can't work up something that might better interpret the photoref.
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: Ehh, we'll almost certainly be seeing something in the Distressed Damsels vein for the $5+ tiers shortly, as I need to continue knocking off my thrice-monthly allotment of DiD content—much as, of course, I need to complete my thrice-monthly output of Life Drawing posts.
