I'm sure he's tried to be friends with others before and yet he didn't seem to have any so I can only imagine how much he's pondered about why it didn't work out and why it wouldn't work out with Wynn as well. But it's okay, Wynnie is the extrovert that adopts an introvert, and if you know anything about those relationships you know they're strong!
And yes, I decided to lean into everyone thinking Wynn is a girl because I thought it was great and I liked it, so Vik thought Wynn was a girl for quite a while in the beginning of their friendship lol.
