He came home at around 10 in the morning. He slept for two hours before he had to leave for a 2 o'clock class. He came home this time. We had ravioli, and then he fell asleep watching the evening news. I carried him to bed.

I asked if he had time today. I planned a nice spa trip to relax. I made sure that there was a professional who was well-equipped to handle massaging his leg and spine appropriately. I think it was quite lovely. A very nice, relaxing time. He mentioned that he would have to write a grant to ask for more funding into the research he’s been doing. I said I would help him if he’d like. If there’s one thing I’ve learned how to do, it’s asking for–and getting–money for projects.
He left for the lab in the evening.

He came home at 4 in the evening. Had an early dinner while watching a show I recommended. He watched the whole episode through, then went to bed early.

I know I said I would not act as his caretaker anymore, but I did ask him if he has been keeping up with his alarms. The alarms he said he would set to make sure he got food and adequate breaks. I did a lot of prefacing, a lot of “I’m not trying to nag or tell you what you must do, I am simply asking to keep you accountable on what you said you would do, blah blah blah…” He looked surprised at that question, but he said he was. He even told me what he had for lunch the day before. I am not his caretaker, but it sounded decent.
What I do not understand is why he looked just a little guilty after his surprise.

I rediscovered Enya. Listening to her songs again after such a long time was amazing. I think I will go grocery shopping tomorrow.
