VINTAGE CON SKETCHES: A themed set from 2000-2001's days of yore!

Currently getting my butt kicked by a shockingly time-consuming Harley Quinn story I'm writing, drawing and (ughh) inking for DC, so no time for commentary today, other than to say one thing about this piece:

I might be wrong, but I vaguely recall that this particular take on the Joker grated on Bruce Timm to no end; then again, this version kinda grates on me, too. Little did I know that I'd be drawing both characters for a freelance job 21 years later!

NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea ATM, but I will try to have something for you fine folks on Friday.

I prefer this more anime Harley to your newer, more full-figured one. 🤔

I can see what you mean about how the figure drawing has influenced your technique. Their torsos are all so elongated!

No inking only pencils....take it or leave it employer...heh

T.Geist

Maybe you should consider retiring from inking...

Fwiw I think it's a very Mangaka-esque rendition of the Joker, I suppose BT would have been narked as it's not a very Batman:TAS-like caricature whereas Harls there next to him is on-model... I like it nonetheless, hope I can land a copy of your recent ish when it lands!
