VINTAGE CON SKETCHES: HK-cinema-homaging Roxy & Caitlin, BUBBLEGUM CRISIS undersuits & GUNSMITH CATS' Rally Vincent!

Behold, a trio of the final few unscanned (I think) Vintage Con Sketches from my now-expended cache of photocopies! First up is a rather unusual sketch of Roxy & Caitlin from Gen13:

...which was based on a promo photo from the somewhat infamous 90s HK cinema flick The N*ked Killer (BTW, using the uncensored term sets off a Patreon autowarning, goofily enough):

I would assume that the commissioner asked for this very specific image, though I certainly had drawn the (in)famous Calico M950 before, as seen in this long-ago Dirty Pair cover illo:

BTW, my editor at the time added the deathless "BUNNIES HO!?" riff, which indeed pretty funny, though the incorrect order of the punctuation in the "!?" bugs me to no end. G-d Playboy magazine hit Proteus and Eclipse with a Cease & Desist order over the bunny ears, which I had tacked on purely because the "bunnygirl" outfit was such a recurring riff in manga and anime at the time. Whoops!

So, the costumes' ears and bunny tails were deleted for the collected versions of Dirty Pair: Dangerous Acquaintances, as seen in the respective Eclipse and Dark Horse editions:

Anyhoo, back to Con Sketches with a 1998 Bubblegum Crisis dealie with Linna and Priss sporting the training outfits seen in the original OVA series' episode 8:

Continuing the Kenichi Sonoda theme, we close out this post with a simple, straightforward sketch of Rally Vincent from Gunsmith Cats:

I might well have s'more old photocopies of commissions hiding somewhere around my disheveled, disorganized landfill of a studio space, but this might well have been the last Vintage Con Sketches post for a while, folks.
