Love Bug (last song) was their first no. 1 & the fans know ever word and sing along which is why they were looking forward to playing it live again. My favourite was Paranoid from the last album before the break up. Great video. Regarding your question, Nick has the best voice & writes most of the songs. He started doing Broadway musicals at 10. The original Disney records offer was just for him. There was a demo session and his parents brought them all along. During a break, Kevin & Joe went in to see Nick and they started playing a song they did together (they were playing live as a band during the Broadway days). Disney execs say the $$$ and decided a band of brothers would be better. Nick has admitted he buried that resentment as he wasn’t given a choice and it ended with him stepping away. During the time apart Joe’s vocals improved through solo work and with his band DNC (Cake by the Ocean was a top 10 hit). Kevin is a talented musician but not a great singer. He just does harmonies and is the oldest, he was married with a baby on the way at the time of the break and had the least options. The documentary is actually pretty good, it’s on Prime and I think you’d enjoy it.
