This song hurts. If I remember correctly, this song was based on a poem she wrote when she was 8(ish) and her parents were divorcing. She has said it was one of the hardest songs for her to release because she didnβt want to hurt the feelings of either of her parents but she knew the song would and did. But it also brought around the opportunity to really talk with her family as an adult about the way she felt then and how that affected her. I think this song is a great example of pink being real and honest, even when itβs hard. She runs headfirst into the hard stuff and thatβs one of the reasons I love her so much!
