You are correct, this is very early in her career. It's the second or third single. Can't remember exactly which off the top of my head. As for the blonde girl, that's Melissa Joan Hart, best known (at least for me) for Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains it All. The guy with the shaggy brown hair that was also shown a lot is Adrian Grenier, best known for the show Entourage. The two starred in a movie together called Drive Me Crazy, which what this song was for and why they made cameos in the video.
