Life & Patreon Update for 2024

Hello there everyone! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the holiday season as best as possible. I know it can be a troubling time for some and an exciting one for others, so regardless of how you’re doing, I hope you’re pushing through and looking forward to having a better 2024. With the start of a new year upon us, I wanted to make a little post to sort of fill everyone in on what’s been going on in my life and the slight changes that this will cause with my Patreon tiers. First off, after nearly a decade of working in retail since high school, I’ve finally been able to get a job that I can use my Psychology degree for! On top of actually being able to work analytically and have a more exciting position, the salary is much higher than my meager retail pay rate and that’s certainly something to celebrate!

Additionally, I’m excited to share that I just finished applications for graduate school. After having to put my education on hold due to graduating right as the pandemic began, over three years passed where the only thing I had passion for was my transformation writing. Although I want to do that forever and have no plans on stopping, I’m desperate to make something more out of my life besides retail work so I have decided to finally make the move to grad school to further my education and hopefully end up as a psychologist & counselor. While this is certainly something I’m quite excited about beginning, I know how tough this process will be so I need to make some more changes to my Patreon to make life a bit more manageable without me going insane. Here are the changes I have come up with to hopefully make both my life a bit easier and your patronage more exciting and enjoyable.

For the Himbo tier, I’ll no longer be including a vault story as it has already become too much of a hassle. As someone who constantly loves to overanalyze and critique my own work, looking at these old stories horrifies me and causes me to waste precious time trying to revamp and rewrite several stories that I feel are a bad reflection as my status as a writer due to how my skill has improved and become much more refined as time goes on. Although this may be a bit upsetting for those subscribed to this tier, I promise this change will be worth it as I’ll be able to more fully devote on delivering higher quality (and longer) stories in this tier now that I won’t have to split my time between doing a brand new story and trying to rewrite an older story. On top of this, I also plan on posting samples of larger for-purchase works from Ko-Fi here as an extra bonus!

For the Meathead tier, I really want to try and create a relationship between myself and my patrons that is more interactive and engaging. My idea in terms of how to do this is to offer voting opportunities and “town hall” discussions of sorts where your voices can be heard in a multitude of ways. Due to my general indecisiveness, I figure this would be mutually beneficial as I can gauge reader interest and not have to waste time wondering what to do. This can apply to polls meant for longer for-purchase Ko-Fi stories like I’ve done in the past, but it’s mainly in regards to stories I plan on creating specifically for the Meathead tier. Every three to four months, I want to provide a list of story prompts or old captions I’ve created that I will then ask patrons of this tier to vote on. In between that time where I can work on the voted-on story at my own pace without stressing over deadlines, monthly stories for this tier will be ideas that I’m personally interested in and are thus eager to write and put out into the world. Hopefully this will then lead to content that is not only more exciting to read but also longer as I'm more passionate in them without having to worry about being strapped for time.

Finally, starting from January onwards, I will no longer be offering the Bodybuilder and Daddy tiers that offered a free commission. Although I genuinely enjoyed working one-on-one with subscribers of that tier ever since I first started my Patreon, it had gotten to a point where their commissions took such priority over my own passion projects where writing was something that I sort of dreaded or loathed. Given the fact that 2024 will be a big year for me personally due to the big news I previously shared in this post, I need my writing to be my “safe space” in a way so I want to make myself as open to that as possible because I know I’ll need it once things kick off and I find myself starting to get overwhelmed.

This is all I've got for now, but if there's anything you'd like to ask or say in the comments below, feel free! Thank you for reading and your support!
