When the very difficult lead singer left (Peter Gabriel) the drummer also became the lead singer & writer and the hits kept coming with Genesis and solo. In the Air was a mega hit from his multi platinum solo album No Jacket Required. He has won eight Grammy Awards, six Brit Awards (winning Best British Male Artist three times), two Golden Globe Awards, one Academy Award, and a Disney Legend Award. The Oscar was for You’ll Be in My Heart from Disney’s Tarzan. He wrote the entire score. He is equaled by only Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson for album sales. He was nominated for another Oscar for Take A Look At Me Now from the film Against All Odds. So many amazing songs, his collab with Phillip Bailey from Earth Wind & Fire, Easy Lover is a great song and video.
