VidCon! Jet Lag! Broken Camera! In N Out Burger!

Jill, where have you BEEN?

VidCon! And subsequently: sleeping off the jet lag! Caused by getting home from VidCon!

Seriously, I got home three days ago, and I only just now feel like a human being. I had serious trouble doing simple arithmetic.

JET LAG!

What was that about a broken camera? At VidCon? Inconvenient.

Well...yes. That was not so good.

Water and electronics, people: they mix very poorly. I spilled water on my camera (and everything else in my handbag) ON THE FIRST DAY OF VIDCON and this was...bad. The camera now only works when plugged into the mains, though I'm going to try and find someone to take it to who might be able to fix it. Still, I can make videos. I just didn't get ANY VidCon footage and that kind of sucked. Booo.

But VidCon! How was that?

Right, yes! VidCon was bestest and most beautiful. I spent it eating complimentary food (thanks Industry Track!) meeting Hank Green (OK, that was only once, but he's super cool), attending panels and fireside chats and keynotes (which ranged from the useful to the interesting to the baffling), trying to connect to the WiFi, failing to connect to the WiFi, seeing ALL THE PEOPLE in the meatspace, and generally having a whale of a time.

Also I went to Disney and Knott's Berry Farm and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and In N Out Burger.

DID YOU LOVE IN N OUT BURGER?

Sorry, Californians. I really don't get your obsession with it. I mean, it's not AWFUL or anything, but given all the buildup I was expecting some kind of religious experience.

*shrug* It was OK.

So what's coming up?

All sorts! Captioning for old episodes, more science vlogs, and more things which I can't think of right now because I am still too freaking tired.

Oh yeah, new episodes! Including my Empire Strikes Back review (Part 1 thereof) which is up on Tuesday, so look out for that!

And Monday is #FemTube day, so I'll be posting a list of recs for awesome videos by the ladyfolks. Stay tuned!

Comments

Apparently they weren't even slightly put out. When my husband goes away it's THE END OF THE WORLD. When I go away it's a minor inconvenience. Tch. I know who the favourite is!

Have the cats noticed that you were gone?
