What do you think about the religious overtones of the movie? There are many elements in common with Exodus story - you have water from the rock, you have escape from the god-king and his chariots, you have the search for the Promised Land...

2016-05-23 12:59:50 +0000 UTCOne of the most interesting things I've read on Fury Road was a breakdown of the cinematography, specifically how most movies use the rule of thirds to focus on women's T&A but Mad Max actually used it to focus on, you know, their faces. I remember sitting in the theater and actually feeling the lack of objectification (for want of a better phrase), even during the water scene, and I'd seen other women express similar sentiments, so it was really cool to see someone break it down and say "no, you weren't imagining things, it was real and this is how it worked."
