Also, here is a story about slugs (not included in the video).
Last night, there were cats fighting outside my house at 3am, so I went down to see if they were MY cats.
I did not find my cats reenacting West Side Story.
I did find slugs. IN MY HOUSE.
EW EW EW EEWWWWWWW.
I chucked them outside, salted the kitchen floor as a precautionary measure, and went back to bed.
This morning I salted underneath the air bricks (bricks with vents in them) outside my door. I hope this will solve the problem.

Well that's going under 'gross but potentially effective'. Haven't had any more in the house, so I think I'll hold that in reserve. :)

2016-07-23 07:33:18 +0000 UTCI've heard that slugs like beer and ale, so if you put out a small bucket of beer they will be attracted to the beer, climb up the bucket, climb down into the bucket, and drown. I suppose it's a good death. :o) Just make sure the cats or the baby don't drink it. And your baby is adorable.

My question doesn't really require a video answer as it is trivial in the extreme. Have you read the Glamourist Histories by Mary Robinette Kowal? I thought they sounded like the kind of thing you might enjoy while listening to them in audiobook. There are decent enough audio versions of the first four or so books (they're very short) if you find yourself having to sit for long periods or do boring things you want an audiobook for company. The author is also a professional reader. They switched readers for the last book in the series and I find it personally unlistenable, so I haven't finished all of the books myself.
