Hello Patron-type people! Soon it will be November, and as I said in my Patron video in August, I'm thinking of bringing in tiers again. Thank you all for your suggestions, they were very helpful.
My main issue at the moment is currently any pledge gets you your name in the credits, and they are getting a bit unwieldy. So here are my proposed pledge tiers, tell me what you think!
NOTE: These don't apply to the video going up on Tuesday (you're all still in the credits, and you've already seen the early access version!), but I'll probably alter the Patreon page in the next day or so.
OK!
$1 PLEDGE:
- access to Patron-only posts like update videos- warm feeling of satisfaction
- guilt-free adblocking
$2 PLEDGE:
- early access to videos! (They go up on Tuesdays, so probably you'll see them the weekend before that.)- warm satisfaction, Patron-only posts, guilt-free adblocking.
$5 PLEDGE:
- your name in the credits!- Ability to vote on potential Stuff You Like and History of Fanfiction topics- and the rest: early video access, warm satisfaction, Patron-only posts, guilt-free adblocking
$10 PLEDGE:
- Suggest topics for videos! Want a treatise on Michaela's treatment in Transformers? Have an angle you want explored in a Disney movie? Maybe you'd like to know more about the history of Mary Sue fanfiction?Well, you can put your idea in a message or a comment and it'll be added to my List of Potential Episodes. Then you (and $5 Patrons) can vote on your favourites, and then (probably about once a quarter) I will make Stuff You Like or History of Fanfiction-related magic! (And you'll get credit for the episode idea too!- also all the other things previously mentioned.
At some point in the future I would like to introduce Google Hangouts for, say, $10+ Patrons, but given my current need to prioritise sleep over just about everything else, I don't want to commit to that until I feel I can follow through consistently.
Thoughts? Comments? Complaints? Let me know!
I just realised this post contains no rain. Here, have thunder over the ocean as a backdrop. (The lengths I go to for James Blunt-related puns...)
