Captain Marvel! She's a Hero!

Gonna take pollution DOWN TO ZER-wait.

Never mind.

Herewith my first ever sponsored video but without the sponsor section, because that's how we roll around here.

If you're mad keen to take advantage of the Curiosity Stream offer though ($12 for a year of Curiosity Stream documentaries and Nebula, which is basically YouTube Premium but done by people you've actually heard of) go to curiositystream.com/jillbearup

But regardless, hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

Comments

5:04 - 5:08ish "Probably neither one is actually..." 5:30 - 5:34ish "... because they are geographically..." Both occur at edit points in the diologue.

😂 I would also probably enjoy that.

😁 on both counts. Never bring a sword to a gunfight, Jude Law!

Time stamps would be great, audio balance is sometimes tricky when I listen too many times!

I didn't grow up reading any of the comics either. I was vaguely familiar with the main characters (Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk but only from the TV show The incredible Hulk) except for Spider-Man who I always loved - but I knew him from the cartoons Spider-Man and Friends etc. So seeing the marvel films and being introduced to these characters for the first time was quite nice in that I did not know who was supposed to turn out to be a bad guy. I'm glad for that because it added to my enjoyment of the films. For instance in Spider-Man far from home I genuinely thought Mysterio was going to be a good guy and I thought Jake Gyllenhaal was great. I truly enjoyed that element of surprise. being a huge Jude Law fan I had no idea his character was to be a bad guy. So, watching all these films it was nice not having some predetermined expectations for any of the characters which enabled me to enjoy them quite nicely. Another nice video. There seem to be a point about halfway through where the audio dipped slightly a couple times but I wasn't sure if that was my device. I can let you know the time stamps if you want. Great job and congratulations on the sponsorship. You deserve it!

Point 1: You are suppose to say "The plot of Captain Marvel goeth thusly" . It seems weird if you don't :) point 2: The technical term for what she did to Jude Law at the end of the movie was to "Indiana Jones" him (specifically referring to the similar scene in Raiders of the Lost Arc).

I now want to see a movie where the young man goes to confession and the priest challenges him to a boxing match while the young man confesses his sins.
