Series name suggestions gratefully received, but for now...this is what I've been working on. And I hope you like it!

(Thank you for your patience. Seriously.)

Patrons Only: Star Wars meets Stage Combat

The force is with you, young Bearup... but you're not a Jedi yet.

I thank you :) And I'm always pleased to get my Hogwarts-Goth-esque dressing gown into videos, especially when pretending to be Kylo Ren!

Thank you so much! It's...a new combination of topics for me, but I love it.

I'm not sure if she's still afraid of him! (I'm thinking the fact that I'm talking over it and it's very quiet will make it ok. YouTube has not flagged the unlisted draft, so fingers crossed...) But yes, I really want to be a Jedi :D

Very insightful and entertaining. Had a good laugh with lacidasical 'slacker' stances on the deck. Otherwise, it's nice to see someone articulate in a credible way (with actual stage combat training) the excellence of the Kylo/Rey/Fin confrontation. I've found myself trying to defend that scene against the usual "Kylo should have easily won, Rey is a Mary Sue, and Fin should not have stood a moment's chance" arguments. I didn't know why it worked, only that it did work and moved me in the way I wanted to be moved in a Star Wars lightsaber confrontation. Great Job!

I never considered that stage combat, much like stage dialogue and stage blocking, is unnatural by design. I feel like this should have been obvious to me before. You do a wonderful job explaining how telling a story should take precedence over ‘realism.’

Apparently it's not just the kids who want to be Jedis, but their mothers too. Is your daughter still afraid of Kylo Ren? Also, your video is going to get a copyright strike within five seconds with that soundtrack.
