Tom Scott Bonus Video! (With extra things for you!)

2022-01-05 09:29:19 +0000 UTCThe flying kick was not particularly cowboy, but it was fun :) We did end up cutting it for time though! Mostly the thing that bothers me in movie fights isn't the skill of the performers but the number of cuts. My brain doesn't like lots of cuts, and so a thing performed imperfectly that I can see is better for me than a thing that is done in five shots to disguise the fact that it's a stunt performer. Happy New Year! :) (And bottling it is indeed not being able to do something because of a loss of confidence, as Andrew said)

That being said...I have a few questions ;) You spoke briefly about a dropkick, and it didn't strike me as something that a cowboy would have done...Are there fight choreography anacronyms? Forgive me if you've covered this and I just missed it...but are there styles of fights in movies or TV that most people wouldn't notice, but someone skilled, like you, would be bothered by? I have a vague understanding of the term "Bottled It"...But I'm not from the UK...is 'bottling' someone a phrase that I'm just not understanding culturally or is it just a funny thing to say? Wonderful job! I very much enjoyed this. I thought it was very nice how they incorporated the knife proof corset and the pockets. Thank you for all of the wonderful content and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
