Looks like the bots are back.
Added 2016-05-16 09:59:24 +0000 UTCSeems like they have cottoned on to the fact that pledging the maximum amount gets them noticed, so one of the little jizz gobblers managed to write a whole extra line of code to pledge the amount of my most recent upload. Of course it's made obvious by creating a new account almost instantly with no profile and sketchy email address.
That gives me an idea tho. Does Patreon notify you about pledges above what you're paying? Like, if you pay $1, does it still send you email about $5 posts?

When I log into the site, it has a thing, "Did you know? If you raise your pledge to Hoober Goober, you’ll immediately get access to as many as X more patron-only posts." Otherwise, nope, doesn't notify me about what the other half does.

2016-05-17 04:06:27 +0000 UTCYeah, I can verify this. In fact, Patreon like's to let you know what posts you can see if you pledge the next level up, and those should never show up as notifications in my in-box. I see what you're thinking, though... send it at the higher level, which the bot detects and pledges the wrong amount. I guess the only way that would work is if you had a "fake" lower level (like 4.99 or something) that WOULD be visible, and no human would normally pledge -- though the "up front" payment option noted below would be better in the long run (at least it's the first sign I've seen of Patreon even obliquely acknowledging the scriptkiddy asshats that have been making artists nuts).
