Patreon is screwing over $1 donations and is too chickenshit to tell you.

So I got this email right, about planned changes Patreon are making to charges. My cut stays the same but Patreon is now going to charge a flat 35 cent fee AND take 2.9%. For those pledging a dollar, that is ridiculous!

The goal of a creator like myself is to get as many small donations as possible as it's more stable income than relying on a few "whales" (ugh, I hate that term) that could disappear at a moment's notice. Something I've been managing to do. The huge markup on small donations endangers this. I would much rather take a hit than scare my backers off.

But that's not the best part! Patreon knew this move would be as popular as a fart in a car. So they thought it would lessen the blow by getting us, the creators, to tell you about it! Fucking cowards! How do you like this notification you pricks?

If you are pledging a dollar, I wouldn't blame you for pulling out. 38 cents on every patron you support does add up. All I can say is thanks for your support so far!
