Music Production Sneak Peek

Hi everyone!

I have something super special today for you. We are working on a soundtrack for our TTRPG, "Angel's Sword RPG, The Lyrian Chronicles". Our friends over at Studio Goshu in Tokyo are handling the production of the song... and the founder is an amazing creator who plays in a band with Nobuo Uematsu.

This is a preview of the upcoming "Mirane Expedition" theme which will feature a full studio recording, and full vocals. This is the early phase of music production, and the rough first draft.

The loud synthesizer represents the "vocal line" where the vocal melody would go. So just imagine it with lyrics instead of the synthesizer sound!

When we were in talks about creating this piece we explained the setting to Nubia as you've all heard before on stream, "Mirane is a dangerous place."

The setting of Mirane takes us into the irradiated zone to the North called the "Astra Line". Corrupted by magical radiation from an unknown source, it is a breeding ground for man-devouring fiends and those lurking in the shadows, who fled society to pursue dark arts. The adventurers of the Mirane Expeditionary Alliance seek to conquer this new frontier for knowledge, treasure and glory. Characters frequently die, and those that live share their stories to the future. Every expedition is paid for in the blood of those who died for the knowledge... that will forge the next steps.

I think Nubia absolutely NAILED the feeling. The mysteriousness, the rising tension, the battles over life and death... the legacy and bonds that were formed. I think it's perfect.
