For some perspective, the un-TLed bit of the opening is 10kb, the portion translated so far is 221kb, and the whole game script, opening included, is 1760 kb. In terms of Japanese character counts, I estimate the opening was maybe about 80000 Japanese characters. Not a bad haul for about 2 months' work.
