Given we know who it is (most likely) that's true. But from Ryan's point of view if they didn't attack, and hid instead, there was a good chance that person had some reason not to be discovered there. Fights are noisy and whoever it was didn't want to get caught. That's why they opened with the Imperius Curse. In his defense he was actually RIGHT which is why they bugged out, he just doesn't know enough about magic to realize there are ways to do that without making a mess. Its more ignorance in this case. He's new to the magical world.

2023-08-16 20:29:18 +0000 UTCI have to say, the MC was particularly dumb to have just ignore whoever was in the room with him that was obviously up to something shady and expect that to work. Not saying that it was out of character or unrealistic, but it does shoe that the MC is a biy of a goober.
