✧ April 2021 Calendar Sheet ✧

Hello everyone ! 

First of all, I'm so, so sorry that I didn't post anything in March. I feel really bad about it. I have stopped billing for April to make up for that, so you won't be charged at all this month. <3

I really hope you'll enjoy the calendar I made for April, I really like how it turned out. I missed doing a calendar in March to keep me on schedule, so glad I'm back and could do one this month. Hope I won't ever be as chaotic again as I was last month.

I wrote a really long life update, and reason why I was away in march. If you don't want to read that fine! I really hope you are having a lovely day and will enjoy easter with your loved ones. Thank you so much for the support !

(Long) Life update: 

So, the reason why I couldn't upload at all last month was basically because I got my new apartment in the last days of February (yay!) and the first weeks in March where spent painting the walls, fixing up some things, doing a tiny bit of renovation and basically unpacking, buying (and painting) furniture and making the apartment feel like home ! - it's a lot of work turns out. And there are so many things you need when you live on your own, I feel like I've spent 80% of my time this month in Ikea and other home stores...
Also, on top of all that apartment and moving chaos, we had A LOT of earthquakes in March. A few big ones and lots and lots of small ones that make you jump. I have bad trauma from an huge earthquake I experienced back in 2008 so these constant quakes gave me many sleepless nights and anxiety, it's very scary. Thankfully, after about 80,000 earthquakes they finally stopped about a week ago when a volcano erupted about an hour away Reykjavík. Don't worry, everyone is safe, the eruption is up on the mountains in a valley there, the lava won't reach anyone anytime soon. Everyone where actually hoping that a volcano would erupt soon in the area because that mean that the frequent earthquakes would cease. Thankfully they have, we've only had a couple of earthquakes in the last week but it's nothing compared to what we had in March, it was awful.
So it was a very hard month hehe... Also, just to add to it, I had to finish a huge commission of 50 portraits for a high school graduates this month, it's not my favourite job but it helps pay for all that work we had to do on the new apartment so I'm very happy I could do it. There was just  a lot of stress in March. :(

But let's hope April is here to turn everything around for the better !
Spring is here and that means new beginnings ? right ?

This calendar is actually the first thing I've done in probably 2 months that I enjoyed doing.  I didn't realise how uninspired and drained I felt after doing nothing but high school portraits for so long. It felt so refreshing to draw these cute bunnies and just have fun with it. I feel like it has woken up my sprit again and I feel excited to draw again.
You know how it is when you have a project going on and you don't feel like you are allowed to do anything fun until you are done with it? What a bad habit...  

Btw, I really love my new tiny apartment and I'm so glad to have my own space. Does wonders for your mental health, I can't believe how lucky I am to have such a wonderful space to call my home. I'll show you pictures the place when everything is ready and presentable <3
