Maps Release! - FREE Maps & Update
Added 2021-07-17 05:40:38 +0000 UTCThis marks the beginning of monthly map packs from Techlanders. Maps are to be produced in addition to the regular Techlanders Token releases, access though the new Tiers - Map Master, The Lot, and Total Techlander.
I find that the "Outlined" versions of the Techlanders Tokens are the best to use on these maps, as they pop-out against the richness of the background.
As you can see in the "Chop Shop" example poster, all Map Packs contain several versions of each map: Full color grid + no grid, monochrome grid + no grid, a tactical pre-mission map that may be used by players to plan ahead or used as an erasable overlay as fog-of-war (Especially useful if you are simply sharing your screen online and need to know where to erase), and an annotated map detailing some of the design considerations made when illustrating the map, originally.
Each released map will be accompanied by a number of separated map elements from that map which can be used to modify maps or create new ones. Full separated rooms are also included for quick-builds.
Themed assets will also be released on their own, in packs, to encourage map customizations and general map making for patrons. Previous releases with tokens that would be reasonable classed as map assets have also been added to the Map tiers's library.
I'd love to hear what you think of them, if you're excited to see more, if there are sci-fi map environments you'd really like to see, or any other input you may have about this next stage of Techlanders.

So I'm in a conundrum about that. the 5ft square is a character's combat zone of control - much wider than the actual person standing or sitting (which is 2x1ft or 2x2ft without the chair). A sedan is usually about 6ft wide and 15ft long. The people sitting inside it are close together. I tend to rule that melee in a cramped space like that is at all sorts of disadvantage but I think seeing the tokens take up a full square feels better on the eyes, and when viewing the map from further out. 2021-08-15 04:27:46 +0000 UTCcheck out the chop shop and get a little logical error or a missundestanding. The Grid Size in this maps have the size of the weidth of a car. The sizing for all the cars and the opjects seems in relation. Think the Grid Size is not right, cause two people should place in two grids and have the weidth of a car. Or im missing something? PRO: - Love the color choice in all Maps - Drawing Style is unique - simple but not empty / feels like the room is complete but gives much space for own imaginaging without destroying the atmosphere.
