He is great on panel shows like QI, but you have to see his stand up to truly understand him. It is chaotic and energetic and he goes down crazy rabbitholes doing his own brand of improv. He's kind of like Noel Fielding on crack. Interestingly?, regarding my other comment, the Australian WILTY seems to be modelled on the EARLY British WILTY for some reason, rather than the improved later format. As you have commented, the early episodes don't spend a lot of time with questions, then suddenly you have to make a decision without even really knowing anything. British WILTY has definately grown and improved and settled into what is most entertaining, but I do think it's worth watching the earlier stuff aswell. Phew that was a long one π

2023-03-12 03:49:04 +0000 UTCI'll just mention, WILTY Australia is a thing now too. The first season was pretty hit-and-miss, but season 2 has been really good so far. Obviously totally different personalities involved, but if you're ever in the mood for something different, I recommend checking it out. Also, alot of British comedians like it over here (and of course we love them), and often appear on TV here. Ross Noble (who you may not have encountered yet) is in s2 ep2.

Btw, if it's still relevant, do the first WILTY episode if you want to see it, it's prob not as polished but still interesting to see.

Though oddly enough he was supposed to be on the show one more time as a guest. But he felt he didnβt do a good enough job during his first appearance that he wasnβt going to.
