Dungeondraft Megapacks Update
Added 2025-03-21 13:40:15 +0000 UTCUPDATE 2: After giving it some time to settle in and test the solution, it would appear the "name changing after downloading" problem has been fixed. Again, not a functional error in any way and the packs will perform the same, but if you'd been holding off on switching over to the new megapacks due to this, you should no longer have any problem.
UPDATE: It would appear that larger file sizes when hosted on patreon are changing their name when downloaded (e.g. when I upload "Megapack - Assets 01. dungeondraft_pack" it shows up as "1.dungeondraft_pack" on your end). This seems to be a patreon issue that I've already submitted to support. As far as I can tell the new megapacks all install perfectly well into DD and even accurately fix their names in-program. I'll update this again when (if) the issue is alleviated.

Hello all!
This post is exclusively for those of you building your maps in Dungeondraft and who use the megapack system, otherwise please feel free to ignore.
The megapacks have been slightly overhauled recently for a few new improvements. Here's the key points:
There are now only 5 current packs (as opposed to the prior 17): Asset Megapacks 1-4 and Textures Megapack 1
Textures (aka terrain) are now packaged separately as they can at times be a much longer load time and this allows you to opt to not use them for a time if convenient
The fewer, larger file sizes actually load distinguishably faster than a greater number of smaller file sizes
We've also done a little 'spring cleaning' in the guts of each packs, fixing small errors and implementing a couple of small optimizations in various spots
I will of course be updating the compendium posts for new users and future posts will be reflective of this new system. You can download all of the new Megapacks below:
Megapack - Assets 01
Megapack - Assets 02
Megapack - Assets 03
Megapack - Assets 04
Megapack - Textures 01
Enjoy!

Always happy to answer questions! If you're using the megapacks the most recent version will always be updated to include the smaller pack already. I.E. replacing "Venatus Maps Megapack - Assets 4" with the new one will have the same stuff, but with the new pack included without having to also tack on the small pack.

So theoretically, i add the small ones until we see an update or version increase on megapack? <3 thanks for the reply don't feel obligated to keep answering my pedantic organization questions. And thank you for such awesome value in circling back for things like this.

2025-03-23 05:19:46 +0000 UTCYes! All things in less files, including having them organized alphabetically within packs and fixing various odds and ends that had accumulated over the years. It does -not- replace and I will continue to release the "small" packs of individual sets with each asset pack release

2025-03-22 01:43:20 +0000 UTCSo, these are fully replacing all previous DD packs? like this is all the things in less files? Also, same file name issue, I just ended up renaming them to Venatus Maps Megapack - Assets 01/2/3/4 ...ocd wouldn't let me have (1) in my file names. xD even if it worked fine

2025-03-21 19:09:36 +0000 UTCSo weird-looking into it now, I can replicate the same thing on my end when redownloading it from patreon. Seems to still install perfectly well into DD and the name corrects itself in-program. Let me now if you have any functional issues with it and I'll see if I can figure out why the name change is happening

2025-03-21 16:37:25 +0000 UTCtrying the downloads and they seem to all be called "1", or maybe have no name? Pack one downloaded as "1.dungeondraft_pack", pack two downloaded as "1 (1).dungeondraft_pack", and pack three is downloading as "1 (2).dungeondraft_pack"...
