Grande Notte - 4

Whew. This one got pretty intense. Still experimenting with dynamic lighting and night scenes. The next couple of pictures will probably be more simple - I'm a little undecided on what I want to do for the next couple of pages to show the growth process.

Actually, that's a good question - on the topic of growth, what kind of process do you like to see? Do you prefer zoomed out, comparison-focused growth, or the more up-close perspective-focused growth? Leave a comment if you have any feedback - I'm actually really curious to hear about what you folks like to see as far as that.

Well, to be fair, she has a pretty considerable badonkadonk already. But yes, I think this restaurant might end up booked to capacity, even though we're the only guests here!

Chibi Biscuit

Something tell me she going to have alot of junk in the truck lol!

Not normally, but there's something in that pie that's about to really make a big impression on her. :D There's a certain baker pony with a penchant for growth who happens to be preparing tonight's feast. :)

Chibi Biscuit

So feed make her growth?

It would be really fun to include her I think. Maybe she gets stuck between a Tea and a hard place. :)

Chibi Biscuit

You could make that the waitress' reaction as well, I think she would be justified in having that look as well. Even more then Cee cause she knows she might have to clean up the mess

Daluna13

That's pretty much Cee's default expression anymore. I draw him like that so much I feel like folks are going to think his eyes are just always that big.

Chibi Biscuit

One reaction has to be a big bug eye stare and mouth almost on the floor with what's happening

Daluna13

This is similar to what I'm planning. The one rule I out for myself on this was one panel per page, so it reads more like a storybook than a comic. I'm thinking I need one page of her bringing a slice to her mouth, then cut away a bit to the far corner of the restaurant's property. So you can still see Tea, and the building she's adjacent. But in the subsequent page she takes up more and more space as her growing mass gets closer and closer to the perspective of the viewer. I'm not expecting to show any reaction from Tea until afterwards. (Although I think Cee's reaction would be fun)

Chibi Biscuit

And what a pie it is! It's larger than the table!

Chibi Biscuit

They both have their place, but comparison is usually my preference. I'm thinking for the growth part of this sequence it'll be largely comparison. :)

Chibi Biscuit

I agree with that. I enjoy the occasional perspective work, but I really love straight up comparison, especially during a growth sequence. :D

Chibi Biscuit

Thank you! :)

Chibi Biscuit

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

Chibi Biscuit

What be intresting would be to have a panel where she is bringing a slice of the pie to her mouth and then cut to the outside of the resturant, where you can only see her ears. Then her head then her body you get the Idea.and ether have her confused or not realize it's happening yet

Daluna13

Pie!

JJWcool

Both are good, but I kinda like comparison more. Close perspective is good too, depending on from which angle.

Tradley

Depends. Once characters get big enough I think the comparison method is better for showing just how huge they are. But at more reasonably huge sizes perspective stuff looks sweet.

GentleFan

Nice color!

Close perspective I say! :D This looks great my friend
