Taffy Tuesday - Good Doggy

Taffy found a perk that makes her unique talent of eating everything in sight even more effective.

(And just because I know people will ask - Fallout is actually a lot of fun! It's rough and unpolished, and I'll agree it needs some work. But that hasn't stopped us from enjoying it immensely!)

If you're on the fence about it, I would definitely give it a little time for them to figure out what's what. I'm just loving it because I'm a huge Fallout nerd. :D

Chibi Biscuit

Thanks, I wasn't expecting a reply to be THIS deep. Sounds like something I might check out after they've had time to make the needed tweaks.

CrowMagnon

It isn't my style of game either. I'm only playing it because Chibi loves it. Haha

Takai Biscuit

Nice talking to you!

Chibi Biscuit

It was nice to chat with you. Gotta shower now. ^^ Take care Chibi!

Qrow92

I'm sure she can squeeze through, though it might take her a little time. It's a fun idea!

Chibi Biscuit

That's true, an anomaly in an experiment is not uncommon. Hopefully the vault would have a big enough exit for such an occasion. Then she comes across a short red haired wastelander or vault dweller who isn't afraid of his new giant love interest. X3

Qrow92

Maybe the experiment planned for residents to grow a bit... Ten feet tall over several generations. They weren't prepared for a single resident to blow their estimates out of the water and grow to twice that, with no end in sight. :D

Chibi Biscuit

Could be it was normal sized and they did growth experiments in Takai's vault, and she was the only one who lived through the experiment. Then when she ate more food than could be replaced they force her to leave.

Qrow92

I'm not saying I'm opposed to drawing it :) I just wanted to explain why I haven't already. I'd rather draw Takai outgrowing the vault than living normally in it.

Chibi Biscuit

I think I get what you're saying. Well, just draw what you love beat then, just seemed like an interesting idea was alall. ^^

Qrow92

So, I've noticed this in my art: I have a strong tendency to focus the growth of a single character in contrast to a normal-sized environment. I know this seems super specific, but it's just something I've realized over the years - I'm far more likely to draw a big character in a normal/small space than a big character in a space appropriate to their size. Similarly, I'm less likely to draw shrinking characters, because it would detract from the focus on the large character becoming larger.

Chibi Biscuit

I'm surprised you haven't drawn you and Takai with that "Vault experiment" idea in mind yet.

Qrow92

It'd be a fun one to do! And then I would have drawn six of my characters in the Fallout Universe :D

Chibi Biscuit

XD May be the only gun she would be able to use as a "small" arm. Radioactive Romance sounds like a good title though for a Patreon Poll. ^_^

Qrow92

I have been trying to introduce Takai to guns in Fallout, she's more inclined to smacking things with a baseball bat though. Although, I think this gun might work: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/9/95/FO4_Broadsider_loading_screen.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160415163242

Chibi Biscuit

Yeah! You'd have all the protection you'd need. She'd probably have a problem finding a gun big enough for her, but I'm sure she'd be big enough to not need one. X3 Might be a good doodle idea someday for you.

Qrow92

Awww, that's cute :D A radioactive romance!

Chibi Biscuit

I can imagine you getting into that vault and Takai getting into a vault that grows its residents, and then the two of you meeting up and falling in love.💜

Qrow92

Tiny vault residents vs growing wall of Taffy :D

Chibi Biscuit

Yeah, then release them into the world and see how they adjust to their new size. Would definitely be scary given how big bugs have grown in Fallout.😬

Qrow92

You're probably right! I'm sure someone at Vault-Tec thought it would be a good idea to reduce the size of all the vault residents.

Chibi Biscuit

Right. Still, do you think anyone in Fallout HAS invented shrink technology? Probably would make for an interesting Vault Tec experiment: all residents are shrunk or even vice versa.

Qrow92

She'll shrink back on her own, given enough time. She just has to, y'know, stop eating everything first. XD

Chibi Biscuit

True. Then they just have to find a way to shrink her back down. Surely someone in the fallout Universe has invented that technology.

Qrow92

What she doesn't eat, gets sat on. What she's not sitting on gets eaten. On the plus side, her eating all the nuclear ordinance ensures the end of nuclear warfare as we know it! ^_^

Chibi Biscuit

A new apocalypse. A Taf-pocalypse. X3

Qrow92

Everyone ends up going back to the vaults - Taffy covers the entire surface, the only place people can remain comfortably not-smushed is underground in giant steel bunkers. :D

Chibi Biscuit

At the rate she grows, that map is gonna feel cramped pretty soon. XP

Qrow92

Well, it's a big map. She's got room to spread out. :D

Chibi Biscuit

I can't imagine the size she'd grow to after that. 0o0

Qrow92

They were going for 'annihilating' but came off as 'annoying'. :D Also, with Taffy being the girl who wants to try eating everything, I wouldn't be surprised to see her gathering up codes just so she could get into the silo and taste an atom bomb herself. ^^

Chibi Biscuit

An atom bomb will just be like a bang snap to her. XD

Qrow92

I think having a friend or two who plays is important. Really, I would just say that if you enjoyed Fallout 4, you will probably enjoy this. They're very similar in nature, with the only difference being some other folks running around the wasteland. :)

Chibi Biscuit

Thanks! :D And yeah, that perk is one of the more fun ones. I can't say it's not a good one, either!

Chibi Biscuit

Even if she isn't now, a can or two of that dog food and she's going to be massive. XD

Chibi Biscuit

I have been enjoying it a *lot*. I really think that a large number of those videos bashing it are only doing it because it's the popular thing to do. They know that negative videos about Fallout will get them views, and therefore will get them paid. Honestly - the game is exactly what I expected: Fallout 4 in a large, new setting with other people in it. I'm a huge nerd for the Fallout Universe in general, so being able to encounter other people in it is amazing. The new creatures in it are great, and I think they did a really good job of making the whole thing *feel* epic. No fight feels like it's predetermined. Level difference isn't a hard and fast rule like it is in games like WoW. With good tactics and decent aim, you can kill something twice or three times your level. The landscape is sufficiently interesting, and I feel like they very specifically created a lot of interesting places on the map that you could choose to set up camp. Building is a little glitchy right now, but they are pushing some fixes regarding that in the next two weeks. The biggest thing for me though, is being able to play alongside Takai. She's new to the universe - she's played some of Fallout 4, but this is fun because we can work together, and the result is just plain fun. PvP feels like it needs tweaking - right now, killing someone who doesn't feel like fighting you is pretty nearly impossible. I feel like it removes most of the threat of other players, which in my opinion should be the game's greatest threat. Instead, hostile players are less of a threat and more of an annoyance. All-in-all - it's a fun game that's rough around the edges. It has a ton of potential for them to build on, and I feel like after another 6 months of bugfixes and adding features, we're going to be looking at a seriously solid game. (And I'm not even salty about that - anyone who joins a Bethesda game day 1 and doesn't expect bugs clearly needs a reality check :D )

Chibi Biscuit

She's probably big enough to make a Super Mutant Behemoth look like a Radroach in comparison. X3

Qrow92

Well, she *is* trying to be submissive.

Chibi Biscuit

It's true it has bugs and problems - but I honestly don't think it deserves all the negative press it's getting. At some point, people stopped picking on it because of it's issues and started picking on it because it was the cool thing to do. And you're not wrong. You don't get to be that big without a strong back hehe. :)

Chibi Biscuit

omg this is so cute! and the perk XD lol

Taurson

I'm glad you like it not really my style of game.Probably good to play with some friends me thinks.

Kibichan

So you've been enjoying Fallout 76? I haven't looked deeply into it, but I keep seeing videos blasting it in my Youtube sidebar, so I'd like to know what you like about it.

CrowMagnon

Dog o_0

I'm glad you've managed to enjoy the game despite it's rough start. I hope it gets fixed up where it needs to be. I'm sure Taffy has the Strong Back perk by default...times 10. XD
